"Ezakwantu" in Xhosa means ìThings from the House of the Peopleî. This is what Galerie Ezakwantu offers things/things created for everyday living, imbued with aesthetic, spiritual, ritual and personal value, in the Southern African way. Some ñ several funeral pots ñ date back to the 8th century, whereas a few objects are new ñ like the multi-colored telephone wire baskets.
