| We acquired the 70 plus African masks during several years of living in Western and Central African countries prior to 1986. We wish to market the entire collection, or, alternatively, ethnic groupings that may be of interest to individual collectors. Most of the masks were made in Zaire (Kuba, Pende, Salampasu, Songye, Tshokwe, Yaka, Suku, etc.). Eight of the masks are rare Kom pieces from Cameroon. Masks from Mali, Liberia, Angola and Ivory Coast are also included. |
